June 20th, 2008
It's nearing the 2008 Peacock Challenge deadline! Entries must be received by July 25th, 2008! For an application, click here. Don't hesitate to contact the curator if you have questions. Winners and Travelers will be posted by the second week of August. Non traveling entries and acceptance letters will be sent to entrants by the end of August. Traveling items from the 2007 Spring Collection will begin returning home in Sept., depending on the last exhibit date.
The trunks for the Spring Collection are currently being displayed across the US. To see the schedules click here. For the lists of entries in each trunk, click here. For the winners, click here.
For upcoming doll entries: we received a large number of very big dolls in 2007. Please note that your doll is more likely to travel if it is smaller. One large doll takes up too much room in a trunk, so keep this in mind as you are designing!
There will be a quilt show in No. CO August 24th and 25th featuring the entire traveling collection. This is the first time all award winners and every traveler have ever been seen in one location! We'll be posting more about this shortly.
The 2009 fabrics will be announced in late August. We'll post images of it as soon as the fabrics are announced.
Questions or comments? Please don’t hesitate to contact Kelly@hoffmanchallenge.com.

Welcome to the Hoffman Challenge website. Every year, a team from Hoffman Fabrics chooses an upcoming fabric design, and then issues a challenge to quilt, clothing, accessory, and doll makers to create original items using the fabric. The challenge curator and a group of assistants jury the entries, and then a team of judges selects the award winners.
The juried collections then travel to be exhibited by quilt and other fiber guilds, shops, museums, and textile shows. The exhibitions are displayed and enjoyed in several hundred locations across the US and Canada. We welcome you to enter the challenge, or to request to be on the calendar for the traveling exhibitions.
