Original design/Traditional. The pattern used in this quilt is based on a traditional Grandmother’s Flower Garden. I have quilts from my grandmother using the round and the diamond patterns. The setting of the four blocks is called Garden Maze. As I was putting the binding on this quilt our former First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson, passed away. I learned that ladybird is another name for ladybug. There are many ladybugs in the challenge fabric, so I named the quilt in her honor.
