Original design. The poppy block and the little pink flowers were from Joan Shay’s book “Petal Play.” The monarchs were from Darcy Ashton’s book “Butterfly Dance” and an insect book. The artist’s husband drew the mushroom. The artist adds: “Two friends and I decided to do the challenge in the middle of May. So it was non-stop work until we finished. I really didn’t think I would finish! The hoop I was using kept messing up my French knots. So I quilted it most of it without a hoop. It was truly a challenge.”
