Quilt Judge

Biography:

Andi Perejda has been sewing since childhood and quilting since 1990. She is an NQA certified judge who also teaches appliqué, hand quilting and Circle of Illusion. She has three teaching videos on the market with Jukebox Quilts. Andi has won many awards for her quilts, including Merit Hand Quilting at IQA, McCall’s Hand Workmanship Award at AQS, Best of Show & Appliqué Master at The Appliqué Society show and First in Art Quilts at both NQA and Houston. Quilt Judge  

Molly Hamilton McNally

Biography:

Molly was born in Beijing , China and moved to the U.S. in 1988. Her quilting activities started in earnest after the passing of her husband in 2000. To support herself financially she began offering machine quilting services to members of the local guild while at the same time she designed and made quilts incorporating the reverse appliqué technique which she prefers.

Her quilts have been awarded prizes in the Hoffman Challenge (2004/2005), ‘The Road to California ’ show, and various other quilting competitions. Her quilts have also been accepted for the Paducah and Houston shows. She is also one of this year’s finalists in the ‘$100,000 Quilting Challenge’ magazine’s competition.

Molly, who recently re-married, now conducts classes on various quilting techniques while at the same time continuing to design and make quilts.

Biography:

Donna Brown is a native of Sydney , Australia , where she earned a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Textile Technology from the University of New South Wales . Donna moved to Laramie, WY in 1987 to join her husband on the faculty at the University of Wyoming, where she now holds the rank of Professor of Textiles, Merchandising and Design in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Her faculty position combines her passions for textiles, art, and education. Donna enjoys sharing her knowledge, enthusiasm, and talent with students in apparel construction, fashion illustration and fiber arts. She enjoys working with a variety of different mediums and techniques, although she prefers to work with natural fibers. Donna’s work has been featured in the Everyone Loves Sulky Challenge, Hobbs Bonded Fibers Fashion Show, Hoffman Challenge, and the Fairfield and Bernina Fashion shows, and she was a grand prize winner in the Inspired by Threads Challenge.

Biography:

Marion has lived in Denver , Colorado most of her adult life. Both Marion and her husband Mark work at Ball Aerospace in Boulder , Colorado . She has been making art dolls for about 15 years and has taken classes with many of the top doll makers. Patterns for dolls she designed are being sold on line, at Piecemakers Country Store in California and at Ann’s Glory Box in Australia . She has taught classes many times and had a successful teaching experience at Piecemakers in January of this year. Her Prayer Pocket Angel Pendant was published in the 2005 winter is sue of Art Doll Quarterly and her Morning Glory purse can be seen in the spring 2006 Quilting Arts Magazine. She is currently the president of the Denver Doll Artisans, was the 2007 class coordinator for the Rocky Mountain Bead Bazaar and was the vendor chair at the Enchanted Doll Artists Conference in 2007. For the last 3 years she has judged the doll competition at the Adams County Fair.
