Willowy Gems

36" x 42"
Alice Means, Bolton, CT

"A New Twist on Drunkard's Path" by Mary Sue Swit provided the inspiration for this design. The Challenge fabric reminds me of the book "Wind in the Willows." The colors are gem like-hence the name. I used a special ruler, machine piecing, embroidery machine quilting, sewing machine quilting, and lots of couching - a favorite technique of mine. A pleasure from beginning to end.
