Princess Feathers

36" x 39"
Christine Bagley, Middletown, RI

This is a traditional American Colonial Era Block called "Princess Feather". I used the templates provided in Quilts With A Spin by Becky Goldsmith and Linda Jenkins, C & T publishing 2005, for a full size quilt called "Empress Feathers". I wanted to show how using beautiful new fabrics - like those by Hoffman or hand-dyes can make a 300 year old pattern very exciting! Background = Skydyes by Micky Lawler.
